Design Today
Design Today, took place on October 26th and 27th, 2023, in Guadalajara, México. This event, supported by the Secretary of Culture of the State of Jalisco, PAD Jalisco, British Council, and Tecnológico de Monterrey, aimed to explore current trends and emerging practices in the world of design. Featured speakers included Norberto Miranda (MX), Liam Young (AUS), and United Matters Collective (UK), who conducted talks and workshops covering a wide range of topics relevant to the design industry, such as emerging theories, new technologies, and sustainability.The presentations were held at the beautiful Teatro Degollado, accommodating 700 attendees, including designers, architects, professionals from the creative sector, students, entrepreneurs, visual and performing artists, and government officials.
The visual identity of -Design Today- is rooted in the concept that design is a catalyst for enriching both minds and society. The graphic proposal features vibrant “caterpillars” weaving through the brand’s touchpoints, symbolizing the gradual expansion of design’s influence in our world. This dynamic representation captures the essence of change and transformation, resulting in a distinctive, flexible, and impactful event identity.
